My Cat Smells of Pizza

A few weeks ago there was an unfortunate incident which resulted in a pizza landing on my cat - wrong side up, naturally. Even now he still smells faintly of tomatoes, between his shoulder-blades, where he can't really wash himself.

Maybe he cosiders it cologne..

Give him a hand, scrub his furry little back for him. He'd do it for you if you got, say chicken or tuna, back there where you couldn't reach.

Considers.

He got enough of that in the immediate aftermath. More than enough, from his point of view.

Samurai Pizza Cat theme music keeps popping into my head.

I had a similar problem with Geek and a jar of pickles once. I think I'd like the fresh scent of pizza coming from my cat rather than pickles. Poor guy-there's nothing more cranky than a cat being washed...I wonder if he'll have a pizza phobia from now on?

Speedbump and one of Redneck's cats regard the 'chick cautiously anywhere in the vicinity of a sink since both of them have been scooped up at one point or another for a vigorous scrub after getting into something they shouldn't have. Tomatoes would make a nice change, actually.

I hate to ask, but somebody's gotta do it:

so what happened to the pizza?

Well, although it was first on a cat, and then on the floor, I still ate it.

In other news, I have contracted Dirty Food Disease, but do not know how.

He looks like he wants a bath. Really. ;-)

If my dog Salsa was around, there would be no problem. She takes care of all spills, no matter where they take place.

I can't smell a thing still...thanks for the well wishes.

This is one of those (rare) times where it's helpful to have more than one cat - I'm sure one of mine would be happy to oblige in the clean-up effort - I'd send one of mine over to help out, but then there's that long wait in quarantine. Presumably by then, the smell should have worn off.
