13.2.12

For a while now, it's been clear that my Space Cat has been getting old, but he's always kept his kittenish charm and seemed full of life.

Over the weekend he took a sudden turn for the worse, and while travelling to the vet's this morning, curled up in a fluffy ball, he peacefully passed away.

He's been one of my best friends for over fifteen years now. Although his departure isn't unexpected at this point in his life, it leaves a big hole in my life.

I'll miss him.

A Squirrel

How ya doin', squirrel?

9.9.11

New Cushion

Somehow he was able to tell that it is for him.

30.7.11

Oh, hello.

Come in, take a toy mouse. Not this one, it's mine.

NO ESCAPE

Not even on this blog. Especially not when I had to get off the tube at Green Park, part of which has been turned into a shark cage for the soft-bodied journalists that must dive into the carnivorous ocean that is the public at large.

Anyway, I wondered down there over lunch and, for some reason, when faced with the sea of tourists and journalists swarming around Buckingham Palace in the sunshine, I decided to take a picture of this thing instead.

Because Buckingham Palace is always there, and this thing's new.

I was going to take a photo of the flags along the Mall, but I realised I couldn't do it without winding up in someone else's picture. On which note, in all the coverage of people flocking to the area, if you see a young man in a suit stopping to check the time on his phone, and then walking on with a glance to the side that says, "Oh hey, a television camera." That's totally me.

Christmas Present

Already retrieved from behind the sofa countless times.

Friday Goose Blogging

Today I met someone who was a goose.

I Saw a Thing

Presumably it's been there since February.

New Phone

Finally got off my arse and bought a cheap touch-screen phone.

New Disc Rotator

Well, my poor old DVD player (seen above beneath a heap of Wii peripherals) has been with me for almost a decade now, and it's been getting increasingly sick. Today saw its retirement - replaced by a cheap new model from the same brand. No Blu-ray for me, no thanks.

I had help, of course.

Monster

I guess my cat's used to this sort of thing by now. He just sniffed Leon in a disinterested fashion and then went right back to sleep.

Paper thingies from here.

18.8.09

:-p

After all these years, I finally got pictures of him doing this. Usually he stops in the time it takes me to grab the camera.

DS FTW

Well, I finally figured that it was time to stop staring longingly at all the games for the Nintendo DS that place an emphasis on character, storyline and art design and just buy one of the things.

Cue predictable image of my cat playing The World Ends with You.

Robo-Brain

So I opened up my old, broken computer and took the hard drive out. Not really sure what to do with it now, but there is some stuff on it that I'd like to save if I can.

The post-it warning might seem a bit paranoid until you see the huge magnet on the shelf where I normally put random things.
