Begin Cat Feet-Protect

I can always tell when it is getting cold at night, because my furry cat starts sleeping on my feet, obviously purely with the selfless intention of keeping them warm.

I can also tell when it is getting cold at night because, uniquely, I have been born with the ability to feel hot and cold.

Not just the cold, but the wool and polartech Moby loves so much draws him to our winter feet.

My cat does the same selfless sharing of the body heat thing for me - but on my head.

Ah...the coming chill would explain the recent reappearance of the cat on my head at night again.. I'll have to break out an extra pillow and see if I can concvince him that one is for him...

Mine (a very fat tuxedo cat) provides the same service, but on the small of my back so that almost all movement is impossible. I'm sure it's not an urge to immobilize her prey, I'm sure it's just a desire to provide me with heat at the most central location .. yeah, that's it ;)

-you can feel hot and cold, too? I thought that was only me! ;)

Neither cold nor sleet nor hail, will stop my cats from doing their best to warm whatever bits of me they can - what a truly selfless service these cats provide to us...

My cat gives me massages, with claws. She is so sweet. I am reminded of her whenever I see the numerous scratch marks and small puncture wounds. Unfortunately, it is cruel to cut a three-legged cat's claws, as they can then not haul themselves up onto the sofa, bed, etc. by them.

Anyway, you made me laugh.
