Iapetus in Colour

Well, enhanced colour. The brown parts of Iapetus are in reality that kind of very dark brown that seems black if you don't look closely enough. (Click the source of this one if you like it, as there's a 4100 x 4100 pixel version available from the NASA photojournal.)

Yesterday I was trying to point you to this very image, on Caedes as wallpaper, but Blogger took a dislike to me. I posted the URL and it said 'illegal' and wouldn't listen to me after that. I'm not sure now if it didn't like the URL I posted, or if I did something wrong when posting my web page.

Fingers crossed it's listening today. :-).

PS: I see that the wallpaper ('Iapetus Flyby') only got a vote of 25 out of 100. Good grief.

Slightly comical, like it's been hit in the face with a chocolate cream pie. Or π.

@D: Blogger's really funny about html in the comments. I wish it'd let me strike things.

@M: Tis true.

@Z: Now that you mention it, there is a bit of a surprised face there...
