Right Under Your Nose

It seems that over the weekend, everyone's favourite street artist, Banksy, placed a life-size replica of a Guantanamo Bay prisoner in a ride at Disneyland, California - a statement-and-a-half by anyone's standards.

Next weekend Banksy will be holding a "three day vandalised warehouse extravaganza" in Los Angeles.

Including, for some reason, a painted elephant...

Thanks so much for including the link to his site. I really, really like his art. I wish more people did actual art on the walls instead of tagging, which to me is the equivalent of dogs peeing to mark their territory.

I liked the one with Mickey, the napalm victim, and Ronald. It reminds me of some art I made out of Target brochure where I mixed images of Iraqi war victims with pictures of smiling families enjoying big screen televisions. Only mine was not nearly as good. Same idea, though.
