I was twelve. In secondary school, probably very unhappy except when reading or playing computer games.

Question: Do you think this (and similar exercises) constitue memes in the strict Dawkinsian sense, or do they represent a new mutation of the meme meme?

zhoen said...

I think they are just a formalized way to write a blog entry.

I'll be posting my response this weekend. Thank you, this is a good one.

As far as I know he defined memes in a very broad fashion. These things are very good at spreading, and some, naturally, spread more than others. Meme-me-do! The only real nitpick is that this is one specific kind of meme that seems to have earned the name 'meme' all for itself. A more interesting question would be an analysis of the meme meme itself.

I'll be posting my response this weekend. Thank you, this is a good one.

You're welcome. I do deserve a lot of credit for it.

Are Hula Hoops giant Cheerios? I like your take on Never, especially when it concerns clothing. I'm now wondering what's in your closet.

PS - I cracked up laughing when I read your birthday comment on my post.

Hula Hoops are like thick crisps (potato chips)that are slightly tubular in shape, only nicer.

I just looked in my closet. The most embarassing thing I could find was a stripy dressing gown.
